Earth Day in Georgia was celebrated for the 23rd time  Greens Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth – Georgia has celebrated Earth Day for the 23rd time this year and in its framework was held various arrangements.
On 22nd of April in Georgian National Ethnographic Museum on the initiative of young members of the Greens Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth – Georgia and with young organizational movement “Davitiani” and GWP-Georgia was organized a seminar, at the seminar were discussed various environmental problems, students participating in the seminar made presentations on environmental issues, among them was “Climate Change”. This seminar called a big interest among the students.

monacemebi ar aris  On 13 April 2013 at the Office of the Greens Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth Georgia there was arranged regular fifth meeting in the framework of the School of Young Environmentalists Leaders. The participants were trained in fund raising and project-proposal development skills. During the meeting there were considered those important details which shall be taken into account when preparing a project-proposal and during the relations and contacts with funds. The speaker at the meeting was Mrs. Keti Chomakhidze, representative of “Insight Consulting”.

Working Meetings in Georgia and Azerbaijan
 The Greens Movement of Georgia / Friends of the Earth – Georgia and the Center for Development and Environment of the University Bern, Switzerland, have organized round table meetings in villages Gurgeniani and Khizanbavra of the Lagodekhi Municipality, Georgia. The main goals of the meetings were to familiarize the local residents with the environmental and water supply problems of the aforementioned villages and explore opinions of the local population in this regard. Representatives of civil society from trans-boundary villages of Belakan and Zakatala, Azerbaijan, also participated in the round tables.

The 4th meeting of the Greens Movement of Georgia/Friends of the Earth-Georgia coordination board On 30th of March, 2013 the 4th meeting of the Greens Movement of Georgia/FOE-Georgia Coordination Board was held, where various logistical and administrative issues have been discussed, such as registration of juridical members and related issues. The board has elaborated specific registration procedures and relevant regulations.
